Summer Club 2025

We are delighted to announce that Study Right will be running a two-week Summer Holiday Club this year, designed to provide children aged 9 to 15 with a rich, engaging and memorable experience over the break.

They will take part in exciting activities such as robotics and engineering projects, visits to local attractions, digital animation and design, and engaging science experiments. We will also be running problem-solving games and mini escape rooms to build teamwork and critical thinking skills in a fun, hands-on way.

Week Two shifts focus to creativity, with an immersive arts and crafts programme. Children will explore painting and drawing, clay modelling, and design their own tote bags. They’ll also take part in presenting their work, giving them the chance to build confidence, develop their imagination and work collaboratively in a relaxed, enjoyable environment.

Discount codes are available for siblings who are attending clubs together and can be applied at the time of registration. Please speak to centre staff for more details. Places are limited to 20 children per day to ensure quality and safety, and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. If parents are eligible for tax free childcare you can receive money back on your childcare costs. Click here for more details or visit https://www.gov.uk/tax-free-childcare

Week 1

Monday - Get Creative with Code!

We’ll kick off the week with fun ice breakers and an introduction to Scratch programming - perfect for young digital creators! In the afternoon, we’ll blend tech with art as children design pixel art-inspired name tags, adding a splash of colour and personality to their workspace.

Tuesday - Engineering and Electronics!

The day begins with a thrilling engineering challenge: who can build the tallest spaghetti and marshmallow tower? After lunch, children will dive into the world of basic circuits, creating simple LED-powered designs. We'll finish the day with some imaginative junk modeling, building one-of-a-kind inventions using recycled materials.

Wednesday - Museum Adventure Day!

We’re heading out on a special trip to the Walthamstow Pumphouse Museum! Children will enjoy a sketching session, capturing their favourite exhibits and discussing their historical and artistic significance.

Thursday - Game Designers at Work!

Back at base, children will start designing their own games, learning to add interactive elements as the day unfolds. They’ll also enjoy a hands-on arts & crafts session, making physical versions of their game characters using paper, card, and more.

Friday - Artful Expressions and Celebration!

We’ll wrap up the week with a calming watercolour painting session, exploring nature-themed designs. In the afternoon, it’s time to reflect and celebrate as we host a Gallery Walk. Children will showcase their creations from throughout the week, sharing highlights and learning moments with their peers.

Week 2

Monday - Ready, Set, Robots!

We’ll launch the week by introducing children to the world of robotics using Micro:bit or similar devices. They’ll then build and program their very own robots to learning the basics of logic, coding, and engineering. The day wraps up with logic puzzles and strategy games - a fun way to build critical thinking and teamwork.

Tuesday - Eco-Innovators Day

Children will dive into the world of science with a fascinating water filtration experiment, discovering how clean water is produced and why it matters. Next, they’ll put on their architect hats to design and build eco-friendly house models, thinking sustainably and creatively. In the afternoon, they’ll bring their ideas to life in the form of posters and presentations focused on environmental awareness and sustainability.

Wednesday - William Morris & Creative Expression

We’re off on another inspiring trip - this time to the William Morris Gallery! Children will take part in a sketching session, capturing the unique style and themes of Morris’s work, while reflecting on its cultural significance. A calm, reflective day filled with art and inspiration.

Thursday - Young Tech Entrepreneurs

The morning begins with a team brainstorming session, where children will identify real-world problems and begin to develop innovative tech-based solutions. They’ll then use tools like Scratch or Micro:bit to prototype their ideas, turning concepts into functioning models. In the afternoon, each team will present their projects to peers, receive feedback, and build confidence in sharing their ideas.

Friday - Celebration of Creativity

We’ll close the week with a fun and expressive collaborative mural project, where every child adds their touch to a group artwork. In the afternoon, we’ll host presentations and an awards ceremony, celebrating everyone’s achievements and creativity throughout the week.

It’s going to be an incredible two week full of hands-on learning, innovation, and artistic exploration. We can’t wait to see what your children will create, discover, and accomplish!
